With spring comes flowers, dewy blades of grass and a certain lightness of being that comes from finally emerging out of a cold bleak winter. This sentiment was expressed in spades with many of the collections. But this was not your Laura Ashley floral season–there is a “darker” sense to these florals and colors.

Prada featured a dream-like fantasy set – fairy’s were featured predominately in her prints. Ms. Prada’s “inspiration” was a turning to fantasy to escape the reality of the world right now. Jil Sander showed strong bright colors with layers of transparent fabrics. Lanvin used acres of fabric at once clinging to the front and then billowing behind in rolling hills of color.
